It was a night as dark as any other, but for Samm, the local forest ranger, the darkness felt denser and more oppressive. After a long day at work, he decided to leave his cabin and go for a drive, hoping to clear his exhausted mind. With his faithful companion, Penny, his brown-furred dog, by his side, Samm ventured into the shadows of the road that wound along the edge of the forest.

The silence of the night was only broken by the hum of the engine and the occasional rustling of leaves stirred by the wind. However, just as Samm began to relax, his car suddenly crashed into something solid, throwing him forward in his seat. Looking in disbelief, he saw two enormous rocks in the middle of the road, obstacles that shouldn't have been there, impossible on a road he knew so well.

As Samm tried to process the strangeness of the situation, Penny unexpectedly jumped out of the car and ran into the forest. Before Samm could react, the darkness swallowed her, leaving only the echo of her barking, which soon faded into silence. With his heart pounding, Samm knew he had to find her. Despite the growing fear in his chest, he grabbed a flashlight and ventured into the forest.

But this was no ordinary forest. As Samm moved forward, the air grew colder and heavier. The shadows seemed to shift, and invisible branches whispered his name in a mocking tone. There was a constant feeling of being watched, of unseen eyes tracking his every move. Each step seemed to take him further from safety and deeper into a place where reality twisted and distorted.

Samm realized he wasn't just looking for his pet; he was fighting for his sanity. Something sinister lurked in those shadows, something that hadn't just been waiting, but was now hunting him. Time was running out, and Samm needed to find Penny before that dark presence decided it had waited long enough.

Game Controls:

• W, A, S, D: Use these keys to move. Navigate forward, backward, left, and right as you explore the dark forest in search of Penny.
• Scroll (Mouse Wheel): Adjust the camera zoom using the mouse wheel. Zoom in to examine details up close or zoom out for a wider view of your surroundings.
• Ctrl: Press the Ctrl key to crouch. This will allow you to move stealthily and avoid being detected by any threats that might be lurking in the darkness.
• F: Turn on the flashlight with the F key to light your path. Keep in mind that the flashlight has a 10-second recharge time, so use it wisely in the darkest moments.
• E: Whistle for Penny by pressing the E key. This command lets you try to call your faithful companion, but it also has a 10-second recharge time. Choose carefully when to use it, as it might attract both friends and foes.
